One of the biggest challenges when starting a new business is thinking a name for the company. It’s not a task to take it lightly and it requires everyone in the team to think through the possibilities in which each option can be interpreted, confused for, or if it is not catchy enough.
So after setting these concepts, what comes next is a brainstorming of every name that comes to mind when thinking about what the company does, strives for, etc. During that phase, some good, some funny and some not so great names were mentioned, however, the bottom line when disregarding an option was: “This does not reflect our goal and how we see ourselves in our company five to ten years from now”.
During one of our startup meetings, night time caught us before we realized how late it was and when we all sat for dinner still nameless, someone threw a curious fact on the table: “Did you know the mustard seed is one of the tiniest seeds in the world, but it grows to become one of the biggest trees?”.
Sinapi is the latin name of the white mustard seed, but as we like to think, it is the analogy that summarizes everything we have in mind as a key for our growth. Working in Globalization Technology by providing support, consultancy, new solutions and training is what we love, what we are passionate about and how we believe our partners and our company will be successful.
That, to us…is Sinapi.
